Hi my name is Carlos Tapia, I'm from San Diego county in the US and I was recently a victim of a counterfeit check, they told me it was a global textile compnay and that i had to change checks from their customers in the US and wire to them the money but i would stay with 10% and so I did that because they were inside the US and they told me it was all legal, but they didn't have people in California and needed, so I did it I received a check and changed it and sent them the money via Western Union I have all the proof of it and the emails, and a couple of days later I received another check and I went and changed it and they saw that it was fake and I talked with the police about it and they put me as an internet victim because I showed them proof of the emails i received and the western union transfer I made, the incident # is 08030055175 in San Diego, and well the issue now is that my bank is charging me that money which is $2359.00 dllrs. because of the check I changed and the money was already picked up to where I sent it in Virginia, I spoke with Western Union customer service and they confirmed me that, and well I want to know what will happen. I mean I'm 18 years old I don't have money at all I;m barely going to sart college!! I want to die really.

Wow I can't believe you are ready to start college.  Your spelling is awful and your grammar is the worst I've ever seen.  The only time I have ever seen worse spelling/grammar is from a nigerian scammer.

If it sounds too good to be true, it probably isn't.  I can't believe the people still falling for this crap. It's all over the internet, like Craig's List, and rental property listings, Roomates.com, etc.  And still people fall for it.  I can't tell you the number of WINNINGS and job listings I get via email which I of course report as spam.

What they are asking is money laundering, only you don't get any of the money, they do!  Before you contact people like that, google their company and find out about them.  Never get involved with a company you know nothing about.

Check out internet scam websites.  There are a lot of them.

I personally think you are trying to scam us with your story.

So what?

I'm personally convinced that you have no clue whatsoever about internet fraud.

Carlos, you can be grateful that you've not been arrested for cashing a fake cheque. You'll have to pay the money back as the scammers will never be caught. Try to explain the whole situation to the bank manager and ask wether they could arrange some good installmants conditions.
