I understand the need to come to a place and vent out some feelings, or maybe tell everyone that you disconnect fraud calls so you can sleep at night.

While staying home sick today I was reading on this site several posts about people frustrated with fraud calls and wishing something to be done or their own little ways for doing things. That’s fine, but what I saw in those messages were several leaks. I’m sure you tried not to directly give away disconnect procedures but if our beloved Nigerian fraudsters can put 2 and 2 together, they will be able to learn new ways to get past our procedures, without the help of a disgruntled employee posting procedures. I’m not saying any of it was intentional, it’s just slips of the tongues.

My point: Be careful of what you say, for we all know there’s some mother fucker sitting in a coffee shop reading this while sipping on a cappuccino that he bought with someone else’s money.

You are right---this is a BIG CORRUPTION-----and you don't know who is biting off what---I talked to AARP today and the gentleman gave me these sites to  look at www.EFCCNigeria.org
and Anticorruptionunit@senbank.org

My business has been hit twice by the same perpetrators using the AT&T Internet Relay System.  Look for the names Daniel Adjei Asante, Emmanuel  Antwi Kwarteng, and Michael Komla Nfodzo.  Luckily we were aware of what was going on and lost no money.  We communicated with them long enough to shut down the credit cards they were using. The other common thread is Western Union.  All money is wired to Ghana through them to one of these 3 men.  Why isn't Western Union doing something to stop this.  They have HUNDREDS of agents in Accra, Ghana who only receive funds...not send them.  SHUT THESE PEOPLE DOWN!  These people only want the shipping charges...not merchandise ordered.  They will go after any small business that has a product that can be shipped.  Google these men's names and you'll see what they've been up to.  Spread the word that this has to stop.

Let me draw some light on your perception of these 3 gentlemen. These guys a re actually the IP address maintainers of the IP Block in question. They are the maintainers of most of the IP blocks in Ghana  and not direct users. You can do a whois at AFRINIC (www.afrinic.net) to crosscheck their status. Your notion of these guys is actually wrong but they rather implement Firewalls and access lists in their network to minimise the people who spam using their IP block and to protect people like you.

What I will entreat all of us to be extra vigilant when doing business online since the fraudsters are always a step ahead of us.

Kay
