wow   where did you get your info??   i have  a feeling you work in new castle, as do I!!   I hate my job.  I pray every day  that this is gonna be the day  that the scam calls will stop.  Let them  close the center, but remember its in our contract, as of now,   that if we get laid off  or  the office closes  they have to offer us another position somewhere in the company!!   The managers are aware of the  registration of ip calls   but  unless the FCC verifies each and every registration,  the scammers  can use  anyones phone number,  hell they do it now.   Do you really think the FCC  will verify each and every phone number??    My manager said we are not goin  anywhere.

What????  DO NOT believe the "managers".  They are going  to tell you whatever you want to hear because they do NOT want everyone filing for disability due to stress etc before they have to close down the center.   As far as the contract goes you have to have the JOB EQUIVALENCY to transfer to another at&t job site and the EDUCATION to another job within at&t.  On top of that there are NO jobs within a 4 state area that have that EQUIVALANCY so that means you have to move into a higher standard of living area (and New Castle is the LOWEST standard of living) starting at the BOTTOM of the union 's  seniority which means that  even if you do get a job in  Michigan  for example  you will be working the worst shifts there are since you will be at the bottom of the seniority!!  Take a hard look at your contract and question your so called "union reps" and they will have no option but to tell you the hard truth!  The bottom line is that the managers, the CA's, the Government has been "scamming" the  American tax payer for years and now the Federal Government has stepped in and said it is time to stop since the corruption has gotten so bad.  Now it's time to accept the truth and move on as best you can!!  Remember this, at&t has laid off  tens of thousands and they DO NOT give a damn about you.  The "union" does not give a damn either!  They have been in the pocket of at&t since the beginning!  I wish all of you the best of luck but in this economy and recession it is going to be tough!

 personally i could care less if the center closes or not  like i said im only here for the check.    and secondly  our seniority  goes with us     we have had people transfer in  to our office, from non relay offices   and they've kept their seniority!!    like i said    you probably work in the same office i do,   but the scammers will figure out a way to get around whatever it is the fcc plans on doing, i hope they dont   but   it will be a matter of time  and theyll be back.   I HATE MY JOB!!!   ya  we'll miss the money,  but  life will go on,  we'll get our severence pay  our pension buy out  and money from our union alliance to go to school  plus unemployment,   so  i guess you'll tell me  that thats all a lie too!!   we'll walk away with nothing!!
