Now, everyone screws up spelling from time to time...but it's real hard to take people seriously sometimes when they consistantly screw up a word that either changes the whole meaning of the the conversation or shows just a total lapse in intellegence.Snickers dept (instead of sneakers dept...gotta love stupid nigerians!)Candle the acct (took 30+ minutes for the rep to realize and clarify with the person they meant CANCEL)Live Pep (seriously funny as hell)Dis, Dat, den (I REALLY hate "ghetto speak").Ax a question....it's ASK dammit all!Readil (soooo close)Redaeling (no where even close so don't get pissy cause I don't recognize your made up word!)If people want to be taken seriously, stop typinlik dis whn dat makes yu lok lik u cudnt pass 5th grad. It's worth taking the extra split second to spell out a word right so the point of the conversation gets across to the person. Remember too that realy operators are NOT interpreters...our job is to relay word for word what is typed and type word for word what the person says. It's not our job to correct horriffic misspells or try to guess what you mean when you try to condense words by removing vowels or just making up abbreviations. If you're going to type "ghetto speak" then in all odds your operator will voice it in a way that emphasizes "dis, dat, den, axing a question, tht wht wat" and so on.
