operatorhere, you may be the only one to benefit from this, but i'm still friends with a couple people from my training class.. one who still works at verizon and the other who quit about a year ago. anyway, we're friends on facebook.com and i had to share some of the statements my co-worker made.. he is hilarious:Not sure what Ky-Ky is doing now, honestly. He's still strutting around the relay center with his squinty eyes trying to see through his obviously-not-strong-enoug?-but-i-don't-want-to-look?like-any-more-of-a-dork-t?an-i-already-do-so-i'm-go?ng-to-just-get-by-with-an?under-shot-prescription- glasses, making heartless remarks to operators to make it seem like he cares, i.e., "Is it busy on the phones today?" "Oh cool, I have a g-mail account too!" "So, do you prefer food days, or monetary pay-outs as an incentive program?" kind of shit. God I hate that place. 3 years on Monday. I concur, I have no fucking idea how Jake A. looked past his relay hating position as a mere operator to advance to his current position which he has basically dedicated himself to for live, eliminating any chance at ever prospering or achieving the things he once set himself out for. It's the American way. Jesus, that's fucking depressing.---you're going to have a really shitty day, and if I cause such, I apologize, but Jesus Lord God, being a relay operator sucks the most major of ass that one can possibly imagine. Who wants to facilitate conversations between scamming West-Africans and ignorant small business owners for 80% of their day? And, not much better, who wants to facilitate conversations between deaf people and the assholes that get annoyed when they call them all day? No one!

Too bad I didn't see this before the edit!  Funny about Kyle... and I don't even know Jake A. except by face and an off handed "Hello" once in a while.  I love that thing with Kyle's glasses too... hilarious.  I thought Kyle was out of there?

kyle is still around, he's just not the center manager. i'm actually not sure what he does, something about marketing or communication or something... and the whole jake thing is funny... i was hired the same time as him, he was in the night class when i was in the day class (but we went to the same orientation) anyway, we're pretty friendly, but he HATED being a relay operator. he hated relay, he hated fraud, he complained about it all the time and that was the main reason why he was a lop, so he could get off the phones. so it's just hilarious to see him as the center manager now... totally sold his soul!

Interesting... I guess we could hold out some hope that since he hates fraud so bad..... maybe he'll try to change it?
