Let me preface, I am a very friendly, kind person. But friendly, kind people need their time to vent too. If this offends someone I'm sorry, but I've been offended for the last time....
Well I'm pretty new to the whole floor support deal but i gotta bitch (and then go back to my happy place
)
I really thought it would be awesome to get onto floor. You get to disconnect fraud, be off the phones, etc. I WAS WRONG! Since I've been on the floor I have been attacked by so many people. I guess it's because we are somewhat of a go between for operators and supervisors, traffic, yadda yadda, but DON'T SHOOT THE MESSENGER!
When I am simply the messenger for an operator that needs a Sup I sure as hell don't need the Sup to IGNORE ME, ROLL THEIR EYES AT ME, and many other RUDE things. I had about 3 Sup disconnects needed at once, I asked the Sup politely because I was warned they in particular were usually mean. Well I asked them because it was their floor time, SORRY IT'S YOUR FREAKING JOB! And when I politely asked I felt totally attacked - "Why are you talking to me like that ?! Why are you saying it like that?! I know it's my floor time, you know it's my floor time! Don't talk to me like that!" in front of a lot of people. I was humiliated.... yeah, I know it's your floor time, and now I know for sure you have a BAD ATTITUDE.
Last time I worked, I was snapped for a Orig Disconnect. This operator had the balls to look at me and say "you can walk faster than that". After telling them how rude that was they repeat, "well you can walk faster than that I'm sick of these fraud calls, I'm sad I'm not on floor anymore so I cant disconnect them I just want you to hurry and do it." I'M SAD I'M ON FLOOR SO I HAVE TO HEAR YOU SAY THAT CRAP TO ME!
1 clap is fine, sometimes I need a 2nd in case you sat down or I'm busy. 4 claps IS RUDE. Especially when it's accomponied by someone mouthing "Sup! I need a Sup! What are you doing?! I SAID SUP! I take phone calls too, I get prank calls too, I get fraud calls too, I GET FRUSTRATED TOO! All I could yell back was, "I'm on your side here, I got it the first time!" I hate getting attitude with people but sometimes you get pushed there....
We ALL have our problems with our job... DON'T take yours out on me.... DON'T shoot the messenger.
First I thought yeah, I need to grow thicker skin. Then I realized, damn I carry this home with me, and honestly its extra stress I don't HAVE to put up with. I don't HAVE to be on floor, and when I go to work on Sunday I'm ASKING TO BE TAKEN OFF OF FLOOR. Our job puts enough stress on us as it is... I dont need people to be rude and take their problems out on me on top of it. So yeah, this was nice to vent, but I certainly wont be on floor anymore. Took me about a month to get where I am now.
