This must be a regional thing (along the Bible Belt, or...?), because before IP Relay I had *never* before heard the phrase "have a bless day."And just what is a "bless day"? At first I thought maybe I was just mishearing, that they were actually saying "blessed day" but speaking so fast it ran together. But after hearing enough answering machines with that as the ending, I'm 99% sure they are indeed saying "bless day." It's like nails against a chalkboard to the same part of my brain that cringes when trying to decipher a Term who speaks ebonic-style (or for that matter, cringes at some of the bizarre abbreviations we're required to use, that sometimes confuses even the deaf Orig).

like abt n cud wud hsp and more.

im sorry, ABT does NOT equal about.

I'm pretty sure it's just "have a blessed day" It's probably said quickly enough that it sounds like "blest" and the "t" sound at the end is too quiet to hear over the phone. Some people say it like "bless ed" and turn it into two syllables. Others just say it fast.
