Our little "friends" that love to hear adults saying dirty-nasties are posting their conversations onyoutube.comnow.I've filed multiple complaints with youtube, letting them know that FCC law is being violated. First of all, welcome to the boards!



Secondly, yes.. and I hate every single one of these twits who post that. I have sent numerous letters to YouTube about the violations of the FCC in regards to abusing relay, they haven't responded.

I have hear a lot of these going around the call center lately. We have also been getting calls from a prison over "applet" it goes like this ca1234 dialing 123 456 7890  before I even have a chance to type ringing they are having a conversation with no one?, or me I assume?

Most of the time I disconnect  the call and say: (opr here, are you talking to me qq)


they usually get so confused they hang up.

I really think someone needs to tell them they're going to notify the press of this if they don't take the videos down. It's obviously a violation of an FCC law someone should probably contact them too. I wish deaf people would really get more angry about situations like these, because it's people like that who keep the lines busy so that real deaf people can't make calls.

if we know that the call is a prank call, for example, we can hear the "deaf" person typing in the same room as the voice person is, we can transfer the call,   all we have to type is "hold pls for my supervisor"  and voice it at the same time and both lines hang up,  or if  they are just saying and typing vulger shit to make us repeat it, we can do the same thing.  it takes care of the problem immediately.    i've also told them their calls are being traced and its a federal offense to abuse the relay service  and they hang up.   its really kind of pitiful to think that grown men and women get off  on hearing us operators repeat their perverted thoughts!!   i read everything as monotone as possible just to piss them off.

I found these a couple of weeks ago it pissed me off! No wonder I've been getting so many prank calls this wk. Also because it's the summer I wish school was all year round!

i've seen some of the vids. it's pretty shallow and pathetic they had to put it on video.stupid kids who have nothing to do on their summer vacation. sometimes they make you read stuff like, "it's so boring to get paid and read what other people tell u to read" or they say like, "the opr has no life and she'd rather type and read what other people tell her to." conversations like that are pretty forgivable, especially if it's a weekend and there's no queueing. but there are boring and stupid prank calls where they just make you read penis, vagina, fuck, cunt and other cuss words then when you voice it you can hear them laugh in the bkgd and type a response at the same time. no actual conversation taking place. some are even rude, talk to u directly and cuss you. that's when i "call for supervisor assistance" then they immediately disconnect.



one time i had a call where i really had to call the supervisor cause the term was like, "what, you're afraid to call the supervisor?" and "supervisor's taking pretty long, i can abuse the system more". shit like that. i "called for a sup" 3x and they weren't hanging up. pretty brave. then when the supervisor talked to that one guy in particular, he made up things like i was cussing him or calling him a retard and "hurting his feelings". fuckin shit. then suddenly he hung up.



school's starting soon. and everyone's looking forward to it.

I doubt they'd take down recordings of relay being abused, FCC or not...anymore than they'd take down a video of someone speeding, jay walking, or engaging in any other illegal activity.



There are some "prank" calls that actually make my day brighter...sadly it's usually done by other relay operators calling up their friends who also work in relay and making cracks about nigerians. I've had a few that have made me laugh because they were actually original and interesting. The vast majority though that while coming from older teenagers, and even adults, sound like 12 year olds who just discovered how to curse.



If someone called me up doing a scene out of Pulp Fiction I'd probably get into it, break the monotony of fraud calls for a few minutes. People getting a kick out of hearing an operator say "Dick" 20 times in a row though make me wish that people needed a permit in order to give birth to and raise a child.
