This is funny and frustrating at the same time. I was relaying a call that was either a prank or a same room. (I don't remember, they run together during the after school and evening hours!) I did my job and relayed the absurd conversation about donkey testicles or whatever when I heard a giggly girl say "OMG How does it get it to say that?!" in the background! It's frustrating cuz these kids don't care that they're abusing the system. We are their personal forms of after school entertainment. Half the time they don't even realize that I'm a real person putting up with their shit! Do they think that their instant messenger just SAYS what ever the text user types magically?! OMG is right!

Has anyone else heard anything as amusingly frustrating as this??

If it weren't for my taxes, you would be out of a job.  I'm not deaf, but I strongly believe that I am entitled to use a service that I have to pay for involuntarily.  I get my $ worth by pranking you guys all the time.  You might not have to do what I say, but it's still fun to make you say what I say.  In fact, I'm becoming so addicted to making your male employees admit to having small weiners (or sometimes no weiners at all) that I'm beginning to really see the value of my tax money.  Thanks for helping us 9-5'ers loosen up without the need for alcohol!  You guys are the best!

Man, you need to get a hobby like sports, video games, knitting, watching paint dry, underwater basket weaving, etc. Do something better with your life then bothering relay operators! Leave IP Relay to the deaf and/or speech disabled community!

yeah well, I get calls all the time about people thinking I have a "hott voice" and say I should be in "2 girls 1 cup" and my supervisor makes me say it. they really only disconnect the call if they say "the opr should be" but there are defiantely trying to make me say these things, so I would be saying it. The fucking orig or term never says anything, and its so fucking frustrating.

I had people prank call themselves and I would hear the AIM noise in the background after I send it.

I just thought I would mention that I overheard a snippet of IP Relay conversation that was actually about donkey testicles at work a few weeks ago!!!  I was just making shit up when I originally posted this thread.  It doesn't really surprise me though. Choose the most absurd topic in the world, and there's probably been an IP Relay conversation about it!
