I was curious..
How does everyone here feel about people who are not deaf hard of hearing or speach disabled using relay, for legitimate purposes.
Like say for example you need to make a call to a family member or a friend and you don't have any minutes left on your cell phone or you don't have a home phone line. Say for example the friend/family member already knows how to use relay properly.
How do you feel about this? Do you think this is wrong or an abuse of the system?
I myself have used it to do a few calls, and I don't feel bad about it considering I didn't use it for pranks or scamming. Example: I get free incoming calls on my cell phone...but outgoing calls cost. So I will use Relay to give my mother a call and say something along the lines of "hey mom I am home give me a buzz!" or something. She knows how relay goes and all so it's just a quick smooth 2 minute relay call.
Or like I will use Relay to call in and activate a credit card (providing all of the relevent info to the opr of course).
So, do you guys think this is a bad thing? What are your thoughts?
